On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of CSD ENGINEERS, CSD employees all over Europe realize activities in favour of biodiversity. The Thusis team in Graubünden wanted to contribute to the protection and conservation of a low moorland. Last week, the volunteers rerouted a hiking trail in the Anarosa moorland. This action was coordinated by the Beverin nature park.

Ever since the very beginning of its activities, CSD has been committed to the environment and the preservation of biodiversity. It implements ecological networks in agriculture and creates compensation zones in construction projects with a concrete benefit on flora and fauna. It also consults companies and public entities concerning climat change, which has a major impact on some fragile species.

What is a low moorland?

In a low moorland, there is always an excess of water. Its soil is fed by rainwater as well as groundwater. Oxygen-poor conditions provide a habitat for unique flora and fauna. The Anarosa low moorland is of national importance and is protected.
