Soil protection and monitoring on construction sites

Soils form the physical and functional basis of terrestrial habitats and fulfil essential ecological functions: a habitat function (organisms, biodiversity, ecosystems), a regulation function (matter and energy cycles, filtration), as well as a biomass production function (human and animal food, wood and fibres).

Soil recovery is an extremely slow process. Moreover, soil is a precious common asset worthy of protection that must be taken into account in all human activities.

CSD has been committed to soil protection for many years, using its expertise to raise awareness and support the various players in the construction and agricultural sectors. The main objective is to limit the impact on the soil, preserve it and improve its fertility.
