Spatial energy planning
Energy supply is based on detailed calculations, forecasts from consolidated and realistic assumptions, and planning for urban growth. CSD's experts develop future-oriented energy solutions.
Spatial energy planning Saanen
Land-use planning is a complex process including various operations (renovation, urban development, management of natural and agricultural areas, transport infrastructure, etc.), conducted at different scales (neighbourhoods, municipalities, agglomerations, regions) and within varying time horizons.
The objective of spatial energy planning is to develop, based on the land-use planning process, sustainable energy supply solutions for communities, including the widest possible use of local renewable resources as well as energy efficiency.
By choosing spatial energy planning, you will have the opportunity to participate in the implementation of communal, cantonal, and federal climate policies, aiming at a significant reduction of CO2 emissions. You will improve the energy self-sufficiency of the territories concerned by giving priority to local renewable sources. In the event of a crisis, these territories will be more resilient by adopting a varied energy mix. The current system is more fragile because it relies on imported fossil fuels for most of its energy requirements. Moreover, on the contrary to non-fossil fuel energy, a local energy production promotes employment and the local economy.
A well-planned spatial energy policy is essential to reduce the impact on public health caused by the combustion of fossil fuels, which generate large quantities of fine particles, nitrogen oxides, and sulphur, both in the field of heat and electricity and in the field of mobility. We support you in gradually reducing the use of combustion motor vehicles in urban traffic reduce road noise and lower the number of road accidents, increasing in fine the wellbeing of residents.
Spatial energy planning does not seek to impose solutions from above, but rather aims, through a global analysis methodology, to be an opportunities and project catalyst between local actors. It allows the implementation of global objectives of energy and environmental in a meaningful way, right down to the final user.
