Climate protection and adaptation

Our projects are carried out with the aim of helping save resources and keeping the consequences of climate change in check.

Carbon footprint and other analyses

It is necessary and interesting for municipalities or companies to know their carbon footprint or CO2 balance. CSD develops greenhouse gas reports according to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and national greenhouse gas reports according to the UNFCCC standard. CSD has also acquired a significant experience in assessing the risks and other effects of global warming on cantons, municipalities and companies.

Strategies, concepts and measures to reduce climate change

CSD elaborates strategies and concepts to reduce the carbon footprint of companies or municipalities. They get assistance to their carbon management measures and energy concepts. CSD develops, validates and verifies projects and programs for pollution reduction and calculates their contribution to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. CSD also plans, controls and supervises construction sites and advises its clients on best practices.

Preventive measures against the impact of climate change

In order to reduce the impact of climate change, CSD manages and preserves natural living spaces (fauna and flora), creates ecological networks, implements the renaturation and revitalization of rivers and shores and the protection and purification of drinking water and waste water. Considering the impact of climate change on the frequency and intensity of natural hazards, CSD is also qualified to measure, plan, implement and control protection structures against these hazards.
