Map of natural hazards in Thurgovia

Within the context of the “Natural hazards in Thurgovia” project, a landslip map has been created for the Lützelburg pilot project. In parallel to this, the data have been compiled and made available in order to create the phenomena map for the entire canton.

Cooperation with canton authorities (AfU), communes and hydraulic engineering office.
Definition of the approach and data processing (pilot project).
Processing and transformation of large quantities of geological data in GIS (at cantonal level).

OUR PROVISIONS

Entering data into a GIS in accordance with canton directives.
Creating the phenomena map, the map of intensities, protection deficits and protection measures within the pilot project (46 km2).
Creating maps of natural hazards.
Processing, compiling and transferring former GIS data to an innovative data model.
Documenting the data model and data in Interlis format.
Modelling at canton level of spontaneous slides using MNT-MO.
